To do the work of the Father.

I still have not been myself yet but I know how much my kids are getting cabin fever and need their mommy back. So I mustered up some energy to take the kids outside to clean up the pool and move it under the slide. Makenna was so excited. She had been wanting to put it under the slide since we bought it but Fred Wishie (DADDY) did not want to kill that grass again. He finally caved in today.

Maddax was outside enjoying the fresh air and running around. Chris decided to mow the back yard so he could "spend some time with us." As soon as Maddax heard the mower start up he got all excited. This kid loves the vacuum and follows us around the house when we clean looking for just the opportunity to help out.  Apparently the lawn mower is no different. He so wanted to take part in this chore too. So Chris put his little hands on the lower bar of the mower and away he went.  We thought it would only last momentarily but he made about 6 passes across the yard before he grew weary. Wow. Chris is so excited. He cannot wait till Maddax can mow the yard all by himself. I told Chris it will still be a long time coming but at least we know he will enjoy it. He lookied like a real Kentucky boy out there mowing with his shirt off.

He was very determined to do the work of his father. This is the determination we should all have to do the work of our Heavenly Father.
